El Legado-Ondarea mural inside stadium features more than 60 moments from club’s history
ClubAtlético Osasuna and Pamplona artist LKN have unveiled a mural inside El Sadar to honor the club’s 105-year history. The piece, titled El Legado-Ondarea—which means "The Legacy" in Spanish and Basque—is 4.5 meters tall and 22meters wide. It is displayed on the first floor of the stadium’s east wing, beneath the original stadium sign.
The mural features 65 memories that honor iconic moments, players and coaches from the club’s history. It also includes the club’s first logo, a child representing the fan base, the women’s team, the Genuine team, the first starting XI, both Copa del Rey finals, and the team that earned promotion in 1980. That promotion squad will be honored before the match against Real Betis.
Legends depicted in the mural include Patxi Puñal, Jan Urban, Seve Goiburu, Sabino Andonegui, Pablo García, Savo Milosevic, Javad Nekounam, Pedro MariZabalza, Enrique Martín, Jagoba Arrasate, Javier Aguirre, Michael Robinson, JoséManuel Echeverría, Oier Sanjurjo, Roberto Torres, Ricardo López, César Palacios and the Flaño twins. The mural is anchored by Ante Budimir’s iconic celebration—Osasuna’s top scorer in La Liga and a current fan favorite.
